In Westham, East Sussex
Welcome to The Heron pub website
You are assured of a warm welcome at The Heron pub, situated in the picturesque East Sussex village of Westham, in the heart of '1066 Country'.
Just a couple of hundred yards away is the historic medieval Pevensey Castle, with its Norman keep, and almost on our doorstep is St. Mary's Church, the first church built by the Normans after their invasion.
The large traditional resort town of Eastbourne and the rolling South Downs are only a couple of miles away.
In the summer of 2022, current owners Daina and Paul Martin took over The Heron, to complement their existing pub business, the popular Castle Inn in Pevensey Bay, and immediately embarked on an extensive renovation project.
We are pleased to say that the interior, garden, cellar, kitchen, and exterior have all now been completely refurbished. We think it all looks great... we hope you agree!
Offering a varied selection of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, along with a menu of delicious homemade food utilising local produce wherever possible, plus occasional weekend entertainment and televised sporting events, The Heron is a pub that has something to offer everyone, both local and visitor alike.
We look forward to seeing you!
